There are times when I try to help my grandson with something, only to be told, “Nonni, I can do it!” I love his attitude. Even if he doesn’t do the task perfectly, he has determination and dedication.
My mother, who is 98 years old and legally blind, has always had the “I can do it” attitude. When someone is trying to help her, she says, “I can do it.”
I remember guiding her from the car to her front door one night, and she said to me, “I can do it.” I gently responded by saying, “I know you can, but it’s dark and I need to make sure you get to the front door and inside safely.”
Knowing when to accept help is a sign of good sense and judgment. It’s not saying that you can’t do it, it means “we can do it together.”
Having an attitude of “we can do it” is just as important as “I can do it.” An example of this is when team players work together to win the game. If one person tries to win the game on their own, the team’s energy is off balance. When we come together with the attitude “we can do it,” we have a better chance at being successful.
Two people working together to bring harmony in a relationship is another example of “we can do it.” It takes the attitude of “we can do it” when working on team projects at work too. In almost every aspect of our lives, when we do our personal best, we do it for ourselves and the team.
Whatever your goals are for 2022, striving to maintain the attitude of “I can do it,” will lead you towards a positive and successful path.
Here’s what works for me:
First, I visualize* my goal as if it’s already done.
Next, I set my intentions and affirm, “I can do it!”
Then, I trust and allow the universe to guide me in the direction I need to go to accomplish my goal.
If you believe in your dream, and from your heart believe you can do it, then chances are far greater that you will achieve it.
Listen to your heart, it knows the way.

*If there is something we want to happen in our lives, we can take the path of visualization. As we visualize this image in our minds and focus strictly on that image, we increase our desire to achieve it and gain the self-belief that we can do it.
