Laughter as Medicine
Life is better when you're laughing.
The wonderful story of Dr. Hunter “Patch” Adams, depicted in the movie Patch Adams and played by Robin Williams, portrays how after experiencing a very low point in his life, “Patch” decides to become a doctor when he discovers that laughter is like medicine.
We have all heard about people who have cured themselves of illnesses by watching a constant stream of funny movies. Laughter triggers a positive emotional response which is sent throughout the body, mind, heart, and soul.

The sensation is typically uplifting, happy, and optimistic after watching a funny movie and laughing wholeheartedly. The feeling is also of hope and that life doesn’t always have to be so serious.
